Base Community Council gets insider view of 910th
Senior Master Sgt. Philip Aliberti, superintendent of the 910th’s aerial spray maintenance shop, and Master Sgt. Francesco Serrao, an aerial spray maintenance craftsman, discuss the 910th Airlift Wing’s special mission with four members of the Youngstown Air Reserve Base Community Council executive board on March 10, 2019. The 910th AW operates the Department of Defense’s only large-area, fixed-wing aerial spray capability to control disease-carrying insects, pest insects and undesirable vegetation and to disperse oil spills in large bodies of water. The BCC’s mission is to help enhance public understanding of the 910th AW’s mission and YARS’s presence and impact on the community. The BCC provides a vehicle for action in undertaking projects of significance to the YARS’s community inside and outside of the fence. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Noah J. Tancer)
