YOUNGSTOWN AIR RESERVE STATION, Ohio — Todd Reichenbach, a K-9 handler with Summit County Sheriff's office, takes his canine "Ammo" around vehicles leaving here to detect explosives or narcotics. Last month, eight K-9s were on duty here to perform explosive and narcotics detection. The intent of the operation was to be proactive and remind personnel as well as the surrounding community that the installation operates under a no tolerance policy. In addition, the intent was to deter any individual or group that could intend on trying to bring harm to the installation or its personnel. Air Force OSI Special Agent Julie McKee organized the joint canine effort with local law enforcement officials and Youngstown Air Reserve Station officials. Participating agencies include: Trumbull Co. Sheriff, Summit Co. Sheriff, Warren Police Dept., Ohio State Highway Patrol, and the Air Force Office of Special Investigations based out of Pittsburgh ARS. U.S. Air Force Photo/Capt. Brent J. Davis
