Col. Jeff Van Dootingh, commander of the 910th Airlift Wing, hosted the first all-wing commander’s call since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 here, Oct. 15, 2022.

During the event, Van Dootingh addressed the wing regarding readiness, training, upcoming inspections and other news items. He also presented medals to five Airmen. Representatives of the wing’s helping agencies introduced themselves and gave quick overviews of the services they provide to Airmen.

Van Dootingh introduced Col. Edward (Wedge) Schierberl, the new vice commander of the 910th AW.

In preparation for the wing inspection in November, Van Dootingh swore in the members of the 910th AW wing inspection team.

Lastly, the commander presented the wing’s mission, vision and priorities for the wing, discussing how every member of the team plays a vital role in mission success.

Wing commander’s calls provide a platform for connection and information sharing between leadership and the Airmen that execute the mission.
