YOUNGSTOWN AIR RESERVE STATION, Ohio – A propeller heating system is attached to the engines of an Air Force Reserve 910th Airlift Wing  C-130H Hercules aircraft while it sits on the flightline here prior to an airdrop training mission, March 8, 2015. The heating system, operated and maintained by a joint effort of the 910th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron and the 910th Maintenance Squadron, are used to de-ice the aircraft’s propeller assemblies prior to operations in freezing weather conditions.  The wing uses their C-130 aircraft during combat operations, including low-level infiltration flights, to deliver personnel and materials by airdrop or air-land methods as part of their wartime tasking, to conduct humanitarian relief efforts and for the wing’s mission as the Department of Defense’s only large-area fixed-wing aerial spray capability.
