Colonel Fritz Linsenmeyer is the commander of the 910th Airlift Wing at Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio. As the commander, he is responsible for the training and readiness of more than 1,600 Air Force Reservists and has operational control of 12 C-130H aircraft assigned to the Wing which includes three groups comprised of two flying squadrons, to include the only large area fixed wing aerial spray mission in the Department of Defense, and 12 support units. He is also the civilian leader for more than 400 Air Reserve Technician and civil service employees. He assumed command of the 910th Airlift Wing April 11, 2010.

Colonel Linsenmeyer was commissioned in 1981 through Officer Training School, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. Following undergraduate pilot training, his first operational flying assignment was as a B-52 pilot. Colonel Linsenmeyer has also flown KC-10s, KC-135s and C-130s. After graduating from Air Command and Staff College, Colonel Linsenmeyer was assigned to the Air Staff at the Pentagon. After 16 years on Active Duty, Colonel Linsenmeyer separated and joined the Air Force Reserve Command. Colonel Linsenmeyer has served in a variety of positions during his career, including flight commander, squadron operations officer, squadron commander, group commander and wing commander. Prior to his current assignment, he was the commander of the 916th Air Refueling Wing, Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina.
Colonel Linsenmeyer is a command pilot with more than 4,200 military flying hours and is an Air Reserve Technician, a full-time federal civil service employee serving in a selected position within a military unit.
