SAN ISIDIRO AIR BASE, Dominican Republic -- The tail of a C-130H Hercules cargo aircraft, assigned to the U.S. Air Force Reserve's 910th Airlift Wing can be seen on the tarmac of the tarmac of San Isidiro Air Base, Dominican Republic, January 21. The aircraft, based at Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio, just delivered the cargo, weighing 18,400 pounds, to the air base, located just outside of the Dominican capital of Santo Domingo, where it will be trucked across the island to Port-au Prince, Haiti as part of the massive international effort to provide relief to the people of the Caribbean island nation in the aftermath of a devastating January 12 earthquake. PORT-AU-PRINCE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, Haiti -- U.S. Military medical personnel stand on the tarmac outside of hangar here after arriving via a C-130H Hercules tactical cargo transport aircraft assigned to Air Force Reserve Command's 910th Airlift Wing, January 18. The medical personnel, consisting of U.S. Army and Air Force Servicemembers were flown, by the 910th's C-130, to Haiti from Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras. The 910th, based at Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio, has three aircraft and crews supporting the relief effort in the aftermath of a major earthquake that devastated Port-au-Prince and the surrounding areas. Currently more than 30 personnel from the 910th are flying relief effort missions with a myriad of Citizen Airmen working at YARS to provide home station support to the crews. The 910th Airlift Wing stands ready to provide airlift capabilities to the massive humanitarian effort as long as needed by mission requirements.

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras -- Air Force Reserve Master Sgt. Steve Gonzales, a crew chief assigned to the 910th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron and Staff Sgt. Michael Culp, a loadmaster assigned to the 773rd Airlift Squadron, work together to tighten a cargo strap securing a pallet to the rear cargo deck of a C-130H Hercules tactical cargo transport aircraft, assigned to the 910th Airlift Wing, on the cargo ramp here, January 17. Sergeants Gonzales and Culp are part of a 12-person crew from the 910th, based at Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio, scheduled to deliver the pallet, a HUMVEE military vehicle, a trailer and supplies along with a group of 19 U.S. Military medical personnel to Port-au-Prince International Airport, Haiti as part of the relief effort to aid the people of the stricken island nation in the aftermath of the massive earthquake that devastated Port-au-Prince and surrounding areas last week. The 910th currently has three aircraft, crews of more than 30 personnel flying relief effort missions and a myriad of Citizen Airmen working at YARS to provide home station support to the crews. The 910th Airlift Wing stands ready to provide airlift capabilities to the massive humanitarian effort as long as needed by mission requirements.
