JACKSONVILLE, Fla—U.S. Air Force Reserve Master Sgt. Scott H. Smith, a medical administrator with the 910th Medical Squadron, registers guests Feb. 17 for the Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program (YRRP) held at the Jacksonville Wyndham Hotel Feb. 17-19. Smith, along with 13 other Citizen Airmen from the 910th Airlift Wing, volunteered to support the event. The YRRP is a DoD-wide effort to promote the well-being of National Guard and Reserve members, their families and communities, by connecting them with resources throughout the deployment cycle. Through these events, service members and loved ones connect with local resources before, during, and after deployments. YARS service members bring holiday cheer to ill children

Service members from Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio (YARS) give a 1/100th scale C-130 aircraft model to a patient at Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley, Dec. 16. Four service members delivered the models and other toys to children for the holidays as part of the air station’s ongoing community outreach program and the Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign. Col. Mark Ables, Capt. Brian Hodor and Master Sgt. Scott Francesangeli, members of the 757th Airlift Squadron, represented the Air Force Reserve, while Chief Warrant Officer 4 Emiliano DeLeon, commander of the Marine Corp Reserve Landing Support Equipment Company, based at YARS, represented the Marine Corp Reserve. YARS works closely with ACHMV to select candidates for the 910th Airlift Wing’s Pilot for a Day program, which welcomes children with chronic or life-threatening illnesses to the installation to be commissioned as an honorary second lieutenant, see various work centers and taxi aboard a C-130 Hercules aircraft. Youngstown Air Reserve Base Community Council, the 910th’s biggest non-profit supporter donated the C-130 models, while other toys came from Toys for Tots donations.

YOUNGSTOWN AIR RESERVE STATION, Ohio — Air Force Reserve Master Sgt. Cindy Cox, a life support equipment craftsman with the 910th Airlift Wing and Lt. Col. Cathy Miller, a C-130 pilot with the 910th help 10-year-old Rosalinda "Rosie" Shakari of Campbell, Ohio don a life vest here October 26. Rosie was selected by Akron Children's Hospital Mahoning Valley to be honored as a pilot for a day. She is being treated for chronic asthma. Rosie was sworn in as an honorary second lieutenant, taxied aboard a C-130 Hercules aircraft and given a special tour of the installation. YOUNGSTOWN AIR RESERVE STATION, Ohio -- Air Force Reserve Senior Airman David Price, an Emergency Management Apprentice with the 910th Civil Engineer Squadron, trains Reservists on how to properly don the MCU-2A/P protective mask. The mask will soon be replaced by the M50 Joint Service General Purpose Mask which is lighter weight and more comfortable for the wearer. YOUNGSTOWN AIR RESERVE STATION, Ohio—Shelly Trimble, base Sexual Assault Response Coordinator and Behavioral Health Support Coordinator, instructs members of the 910th Airlift Wing at a Bystander Intervention Training course. The training is an Air Force mandated skill-building program designed to prevent sexual assault. All military members and civilians who supervise military members are required to take the course. Trimble has been conducting the course for several weeks to ensure all 910th members receive the training.

Natalie Maldonado, a dental technician with the 910th Medical Squadron files DD Form 2813s, the civilian dental examination form, in the dental records of military members assigned to the 910th Airlift Wing, based here, September 12, 2011. The purpose of the form is to aid Citizen Airmen to work with their civilian dentists to maintain good dental health between visits to the 910th MDS military dentists.
