Oil's well that ends well
THE GULF OF MEXICO – As spectators and crew members on the deck of the Marine Spill Response Corporation’s Southern Responder enjoy their front row seats, a C-130 skims over a simulated oil slick marked by bright green dye. The colored water being sprayed by the C-130 simulates an oil dispersant. The C-130H is assigned to the Air Force Reserve Command’s 910th Airlift Wing, located at Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio. It was participating in an oil dispersant exercise being held six miles off the shore of Galveston, Texas, Nov. 8, 2006.
