Major accident simulation tests 910th readiness

U.S. Air Force Reserve Master Sgt. Franco Russo, a 910th Maintenance Squadron aerospace craftsman, briefs members of the Crash, Damaged, Disabled, Aircraft Recovery (CDDAR) team toward the end of a Major Accident Readiness Exercise (MARE) here, April 23. The CDDAR team built a dunnage system used to hold air bags that can upright a downed aircraft. In the exercise scenario, the C-130 aircraft’s landing gear collapsed while landing on the assault strip. Debris from the aircraft hit a private aircraft taxiing nearby.
