Air Force Reserve Staff Sgt. Kalee Lint, 910th Airlift Wing Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of Development and Training Flight, leads a group of Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps cadets  and 910th Airlift Wing members in saluting the U.S. flag during the playing of the National Anthem, here, June 22. Loudspeakers around YARS play Retreat and the National Anthem at the end of each duty day. The cadets were here for a several day encampment designed to provide a military experience with drill, customs and courtesies, team building and other focused activities.

Col. Reinhard Schmidt, commander of the 910th Airlift Wing, throws out the first pitch to begin the home opener of the Mahoning Valley Scrappers baseball team Wednesday, June 20, 2012.  To celebrate the home opener and the Scrappers’ military appreciation night, the base color guard presented the colors during the Anthem, and a 910th Airlift Wing C-130H Hercules aircraft performed a low-level flyover. Air Force recruiters from YARS set up a display table on the concourse and made their presence known by parading Airman Andy, a large inflatable mascot, through the stands to greet fans. As fans entered the stadium, they were able to view a Humvee from the Marine Corps Reserve Landing Support Equipment Company, Youngstown.
