Lieutenant Colonel Benjamin J. Iannucci III

Lt. Col. Benjamin J. Iannucci III is the commander at 910th Mission Support Group, Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio. He plans, directs, organizes, and provides oversight for all base-level support services to the 910th Airlift Wing. These services include air terminal operations, engineering services, force protection, contracting, communications and information services, personnel management, logistics readiness, and combat services support. The group is responsible for providing an agile, integrated support team dedicated to providing premier force sustainment at home and abroad.

Lt. Col. Iannucci was commissioned through Officer Training School and entered the Air Force in November 2003. He served as a micro-unmanned aerial vehicle test engineer and program manager for the Air Force Research Lab at Eglin Air Force Base, FL. Lt. Col. Iannucci transitioned to the Air Force Reserve in October 2008 in which he joined the 556 RED HORSE as a Flight Commander. He then joined the 908th PRIME BEEF Civil Engineer Squadron in 2015 as the Director of Operations and was the acting 908 CES Commander prior to leaving for Command and Staff College at the Marine Corps University, Quantico, VA. Following Quantico, Lt. Col. Iannucci served as the 349 Civil Engineer Squadron Commander and then was the Deputy Chief, North/South Europe Support Branch, 622 CES, Dobbins ARB, GA. Prior to his current position, Lt. Col. Iannucci attended Army War College, Carlisle, PA.

Lt. Col. Iannucci has worked as a civil servant for the United States Air Force SEEK EAGLE Office as the Flutter Certification Lead, and most recently as the Structural Integrity Team Lead in which he supervised the engineering development and analysis in determining safety of flight for all USAF platforms. In this capacity he was responsible for issuing flight clearance recommendations to aircraft program offices, testing centers and the war fighter.
