Sean Grenier took command of the 757th Airlift Squadron (AS) from Lt. Col. John Boccieri Aug. 4, 2017, here. Col. Bill Phillips, 910th Operations Group commander, presided over the ceremony and transferred the guidon, a customized flag representing the unit, to Grenier to symbolize the official change of command. “What I look for in leadership is if you are an expert in your career field,” said Phillips. “Grenier is an expert pilot, and we’re moving him up. I’m looking forward to working with him.” The incoming commander stated he is putting emphasis on making sure everyone is continually mission ready. “My focus is to make sure that the personnel are taken care of,” said Grenier, “to make sure that they can be out the door in 72 hours.” The 757th AS maintains readiness levels to enable the unit to airlift troops, supplies and equipment, conducts aerial spray missions and assists with aeromedical evacuation when needed.
