Col James Dignan (right), commander of the 910th Airlift Wing, based at nearby Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio, receives a resolution from the City of Youngstown, presented by Judge Robert P. Milich in Municipal Courtroom 2 here, May 8, 2013. The resolution in part read 'The Council of the City of Youngstown hereby welcomes Colonel James D. Dignan and his family to the Mahoning Valley and further resolves to support the continued missions and levels of operations of the Youngstown Air Reserve Station.' Col. Dignan visited Judge Milich's courtroom here to observe a session of the Youngstown Municipal Veteran Treatment Court as part of the commander's ongoing outreach to civic leaders in surrounding communities. The goal of the Youngstown Municipal Veteran Treatment Court is 'to provide necessary treatment, support and services to veterans involved in the criminal justice system so they may obtain and maintain stable, law-abiding and healthy lives; thereby becoming positive and productive members of the community.'
