YARS experiences warm autumn while preparing for holiday season Published Nov. 29, 2011 By Master Sgt. Bob Barko Jr. 910th Airlift Wing Public Affairs YOUNGSTOWN AIR RESERVE STATION, Ohio -- Unseasonably warm temperatures, rain showers, peaks of sunshine and a rare autumn rainbow seen outside the YARS main gate, Nov. 29, 2011, gave those assigned here a break from the typically cold and snowy conditions that Northeast Ohio is known for during this time of year. Despite the reprieve from the season's usual weather, YARS personnel are busily preparing for the upcoming holidays with events such as the annual Toys for Tots campaign and an after-hours holiday wreath decorating class held at the YARS community Activity Center.
