Air Force Reservists from the 910th Airlift Wing's 76th Aerial Port Squadron have been preparing cargo that was flown as humanitarian airlift from here Monday, July 11, 2011.

An Air Force KC-10 aircraft, assigned to the 514th Air Mobility Wing, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey, picked up 22 Air Force Pallets containing 61,000 pounds of supplies from the Mission of Love (based in Austintown), for the communities of Progreso, Yoro and Santa Rita, Yoro, Honduras.

Donations will benefit schools, health centers, nursing homes and the residents of poor communities, housing projects and medical brigades.

The Mission of Love Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides humanitarian aid to those in need worldwide, especially children. Backed by individuals, local businesses and the United States Military Denton Program, the Mission of Love airlifts clothing, food and medical and construction materials to our world in need. Once the supplies arrive, groups of people, both young and old, from all walks of life, are there to utilize the supplies by building medical clinics, orphanages, administering medical treatment to the ill and serving those who need help.

The Denton Program allows private U.S. citizens and organizations to use space available on U.S. military cargo planes to transport humanitarian goods, such as clothing, food, medical and educational supplies, and agricultural equipment and vehicles, to countries in need. The program is jointly administered by a government agency known as USAID, the Department of State (DOS), and the Department of Defense (DOD).
