Robert Mitchell, 41, a loadmaster assigned to the 910th Operations Group, died May 28, 2025, following a long illness. At approximately 10:58 p.m. EST on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, the Youngstown Air Reserve Station Command Post was notified of his death. “It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Senior Master Sgt. Robert Mitchell, a beloved 910th Airlift Wing member,” said Col. Chris E. Sedlacek, 910th Airlift Wing commander. “Our thoughts and prayers are with Robert’s family and friends during this time. Rob was a dedicated Evaluator Loadmaster with over 22 years of service who loved YARS’s Aerial Spray mission. Everyone enjoyed Rob’s company with his teammates noting that he always had a smile on his face and positively impacted many during his service in the unit.
