Megan Tomkins 910th Airlift Wing Public Affairs YOUNGSTOWN AIR RESERVE STATION, Ohio -- The 910th Airlift Wing's (AW) annual holiday commander's call and party took place, here, Dec. 7, 2013. The commander's call included five medals presentations, one of which was the prestigious Air Medal that was presented to 2nd Lt. Zachary Eberle, co-pilot with the 773rd Airlift Squadron. The ceremony continued with a reenlistment of eight Reservists, 23 recognized for 100 percent Fit-to-Fight, 17 recognized for 90 percent and above on Career Development Courses exams and several Youngstown Air Reserve Station Airmen recognized for participation in the recent Dining Out. The final presentation was the 2013 Esprit de Corps Trophy for the annual intramural sports to the 910th Security Forces Squadron. "Our Wing leadership strives to recognize all of our Airmen who demonstrate outstanding leadership and job performance," said Col. James Dignan, 910th AW commander. "The Airmen here today were nominated by their squadron supervision and selected by 910th Airlift Wing senior leadership to receive their specific recognition or award in front of all their fellow Airmen." Reservists also received annual training requirements including Human Relations and Resiliency briefings. "The purpose of our resiliency training is to assist Airmen with the ability to withstand, recover and grow in the face of the stress and demands of being in today's Air Force Reserve," said Dignan. "In addition, I want all of our Airmen to know where to go if problems should arise." To complete the ceremony, Dignan invited Reservists to enjoy the holiday party, which included a raffle for prizes by the Chief's Group and free gifts for servicemembers' children from Operation Home Front.
