Nearly 100 football fans representing the Citizen Airmen of the Air Force Reserve's 910th Airlift Wing, based at Youngstown Air Reserve Station (YARS), Ohio, along with their coworkers, families and friends kicked off the annual YARS Game Day at YSU event held here on a cool but sunny fall afternoon, Oct. 10, 2015.

The fans enjoyed a tailgate picnic meal of burgers, chips, beverages and cake donated by the Youngstown Air Reserve Base-Community Council. The USO of Northern Ohio also sponsored the event by providing a cornhole game.

The 910th Force Support Squadron Outdoor Recreation Office provided the towable propane grill and coolers while the Community Activity Center staff assisted by ordering food, plates and more for the tailgating, a fall tradition for YARS personnel in recent years.

After tailgating festivities, the 910th group made their way to YSU's Stambaugh Stadium and witnessed the 1-AA YSU Penguins drop a heart breaker to Missouri Valley Football Conference opponents, the Illinois State Redbirds, 31-29.

The 910th Airlift Wing Public Affairs Office worked in cooperation with the YSU Athletics Office to sell more than 130 one dollar game tickets, valued at $18 each, to 910th personnel as well as YARS Department of Defense Civilian employees for this community relations outreach event.
