910th flies local cadets
Air Force Reserve Lt. Col. Jeff Shaffer, a C-130 navigator with the 910th Airlift Wing, talks with Cadet 2d Lt. Megan Beatty while he inputs a flight plan here Feb. 22. Beatty along with approximately 15 other Civil Air Patrol cadets participated in a three-hour orientation flight aboard a C-130 Hercules as part of their entitlements of serving in the Air Force’s official auxiliary. These cadets are some of the approximately 100-member unit known as Composite Squadron 051 that meets weekly here.
