Technical Sgt. Tom Kocis, an aerial spray maintainer with the 910th Airlift Wing, recieved the Ohio State Highway Patrol Certificate of Recognition, Tuesday, May 17. On February 28, 2011, Sgt. Kocis waded through frigid chest-high water to rescue a 71-year-old woman from her vehicle. The woman lost control of her vehicle on a flooded highway and drove into a ditch.
