910th Airman recognized by State Highway Patrol for heroic act
Technical Sgt. Tom Kocis, an aerial spray maintainer with the 910th Airlift Wing, recieved the Ohio State Highway Patrol Certificate of Recognition, Tuesday, May 17. On February 28, 2011, Sgt. Kocis waded through frigid chest-high water to rescue a 71-year-old woman from her vehicle. The woman lost control of her vehicle on a flooded highway and drove into a ditch. Ohio State Highway Patrol Lieutenant Brian Holt, Warren Post Commander, presented the away on behalf of Colonel John Born, Superintendent of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
