910th cuts ribbon at new Community Activity Center
YOUNGSTOWN AIR RESERVE STATION, Ohio -- A group of dignitaries, including 910th Airlift Wing commander, Col. Fritz Linsenmeyer (fifth from left) and Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) Deputy Chief of Services, Mr. Alan Ray (fourth from left) prepare to cut the ceremonial ribbon, officially opening the new Community Activity Center (CAC) here, May 14, 2011. According to Mr. Ray, the 910th's CAC is the first constructed on an AFRC base. The new concept combines the air station's dining facility, now known as Herk's Place, with the club, named the C-130 Bar and Grille in honor of the aircraft assigned to YARS, as well as a recreation activities room in one facility to enhance the services provided to the wing's Citizen Airmen and other guests.
