YARS Servicemembers visit children in Mahoning Valley hospital
BOARDMAN, Ohio -- Air Force Reserve Capt. Vince Repucci, a C-130H Hercules aircraft navigator with the 757th Airlift Squadron, visits a three-year old patient being treated for pneumonia at Akron Children's Hospital of the Mahoning Valley here, Dec. 9. He and eight other Air Force Reserve aircrew, Naval and Marine Corps Reservists, based at nearby Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio, took time out of their duty schedules to visit approximately 15 children being treated at the hospital. Each child received toys and an autographed photo of the Air Force Reserve aircrew members posing in front of a C-130 aircraft. This effort, an extension of the 910th Airlift Wing's annual Pilot for a Day program, is designed to reach children who may not be able to visit the air station due to their health condition.
