CAP cadet learns ELT skills
YOUNGSTOWN AIR RESERVE STATION, Ohio--Civil Air Patrol (CAP) Cadet Airman Basic Campbell reads a radio receiver as part of an Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT) training course during a CAP encampment here, June 18-26, 2010. The training course teaches cadets how to locate ELTs from downed aircraft or distressed marine vessels. Approximately 130 cadets participated in the week-long CAP encampment, here. Cadets at the encampment learned navigation skills, practiced leadership and followership skills, and flew to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base on a C130H aircraft to tour the National Museum of the US Air Force.
