Aircrew flight equipment specialist supports Deepwater Horizon oil spill cleanup mission
KILN, Miss. — U.S. Air Force Reserve Tech Sgt. Philip Walsh, an Aircrew Flight Equipment (AFE) specialist and Air Reserve Technician with the 910th Operation Support Squadron based at the Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio, conducts an operational check of a quick-don mask using an oxygen mask test set at Stennis International Airport here, May 19, 2010. As an AFE technician, he maintains all of the emergency breathing equipment utilized by the aircrew on board a C-130. Other life saving equipment is positioned onboard in case of smoke or fume conditions. AFEs maintain the floatation gear the air crew will use in case of an over water emergency. Sgt.
