910th aircraft and crew delivers food and water for Haiti relief effort
SAN ISIDIRO AIR BASE, Dominican Republic -- Workers use tarps to cover a cargo of 18,400 pounds of food and water on the bed of a truck sitting just off the tarmac here, January 21. A C-130H Hercules cargo aircraft, assigned to the U.S. Air Force Reserve's 910th Airlift Wing, can be seen in the background. The aircraft, based at Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio, just delivered the cargo to the air base, located just outside of the Dominican capital of Santo Domingo. From here, it will be trucked across the island to Port-au Prince, Haiti as part of the massive international effort to provide relief to the people of the Caribbean island nation in the aftermath of a devastating January 12 earthquake.
