910th airlifter reviews departure regs in Tel Aviv
TEL AVIV, Israel -- Air Force Reserve 1st Lt. Ryan Gray, a pilot assigned to the 773rd Airlift Squadron based at Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio, reviews the departure regulations for Ben Gurion Airport here, October 25, 2009. Lieutenant Gray, co-pilot on this mission, and eight other Citizen Airmen from YARS delivered 29 passengers and their baggage from Naples Naval Air Station, Italy to Tel Aviv are preparing to haul more than 14,000 pounds of cargo from Tel Aviv to Ramstein Air Base, Germany aboard the C-130H Hercules tactical cargo transport aircraft he is standing near. The aircrew members completing this airlift mission are among more than 70 Servicemembers from YARS attached to the 38th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron, based at Ramstein. The 38th EAS is supporting Operation Joint Enterprise by providing tactical airlift capability to locations in the U.S. Europe Command (EUROCOM), U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) and U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) theaters of operations.
