910 loadmaster unloads cargo on airlift mission to Tel Aviv
TEL AVIV, Israel -- Air Force Reserve Staff Sgt. Kern Smith, a loadmaster assigned to the 773rd Airlift Squadron, based at Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio, prepares to unstrap baggage on the cargo ramp of a C-130H Hercules tactical cargo transport aircraft also assigned to the 910th, on the tarmac of Ben Gurion International Airport here, October 25, 2009. Sergeant Smith and eight other Citizen Airmen from YARS have just landed here on an airlift mission from Naples, Italy transporting 29 passengers from the Naval Air Station there. The 910th Airmen completing this airlift mission are among more than 70 Servicemembers from YARS attached to the 38th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron, based at Ramstein. The 38th EAS is supporting Operation Joint Enterprise by providing tactical airlift capability to locations in the U.S. Europe Command (EUROCOM), U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) and U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) theaters of operations.
