910th maintainers inspect YARS C-130 after airlift mission

RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany -- Crew chiefs and aircraft mechanics assigned to the 910th Maintenance Squadron, based at Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio, perform a basic post-flight inspection on a C-130H Hercules tactical cargo transport aircraft assigned to the 910th Airlift Wing, also based at YARS, on the flightline here, October 20, 2009. The aircraft returned to Ramstein Air Base after completing an airlift mission from Tel Aviv, Israel, hauling a cargo compartment full of supplies and equipment. The maintenance personnel are checking the C-130 for any structural defects and mechanical or electrical failures or anything else not within operating standards for the aircraft. The YARS maintenance personnel, the C-130 and its crew are attached to the 38th Expeditionary Airlift Wing, base here, in support of Operation Joint Enterprise. More than 70 Airmen consisting of flight crews, maintenance personnel and support staff are currently attached to the 38th EAS with the airlift mission that will support locations in the U.S. Europe Command (EUROCOM), the U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) and the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) theaters of operations.
