The "ABC's" of Pest Trapping
PARRIS ISLAND S.C. — Air Force Reserve Major Mark Breidenbaugh, an entomologist with the 757th Airlift Squadron based at Youngstown Air Reserve Station(YARS), Ohio, examines an ABC Trap used to gauge the effectiveness of a new environmentally friendly product being used at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot here, October 6. YARS is home to the only large area fixed-wing aerial spray unit in the Department of Defense. One of their annual missions is to spray biting midges at the depot to provide relief to the Marines.
