910th ground crew preps homebound YARS C-130 for flight
RAMSTEIN AB, Germany - Air Force Reserve Master Sgt. Will McDonald, a communications/navigation specialist with the 910th Airlift Wing Avionics Shop uses a test kit to ensure the proper operation of the Identification, Friend or Foe (IFF) system aboard a C-130H "Hercules" tactical cargo transport aircraft on the flightline here, October 16. The C-130 is being prepared for a flight bound for its home base, Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio, via Prestwick, Scotland and St. John?s, Canada. Sergeant McDonald is among the second group of Airmen from the 910th, attached to the 38th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron (EAS) based at Ramstein, supporting Operation Joint Enterprise. The C-130 crews and maintainers participating in Joint Enterprise will work together to airlift cargo to locations in the U.S. Europe Command (EUROCOM) and the U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) Theaters of Operation. The departing C-130 is carrying Citizen Airmen from YARS who have completed their work as the first rotation of troops supporting the airlift operation. U.S. Air Force photo by Master Sgt.
