Royal Netherlands AF fighter escorts YARS C-130
A Royal Netherlands Air Force F-16 ?Fighting Falcon? jet fighter interceptor flies just off the wing of a C-130H ?Hercules? tactical cargo transport aircraft from the Air Force Reserve?s 910th Airlift Wing during a flight from Prestwick, Scotland to Ramstein Air Base, German, October 14. The fighter was scheduled to meet the C-130 as it flew from over the North Sea into Ducth air space. The C-130, based at Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio, was carrying a group of Citizen Airmen bound for Ramstein in support of Operation Joint Enterprise. The C-130 crews and maintainers participating in Joint Enterprise will work together to airlift cargo to locations in the U.S. Europe Command (EUROCOM) and the U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) Theaters of Operation.
