U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown Visits Youngstown Air Reserve Station

YOUNGSTOWN AIR RESERVE STATION, Ohio — Air Force Reserve Senior Master Sgt. John Daniels, Flight Chief for the 910th Aerial Spray Maintenance, briefs U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (Ohio) on the DoD unique Modular Aerial Spray System (MASS) assigned here. During his visit here May 30, Senator Brown was briefed on not only the aerial spray systems , but also on the specialized training required by the maintainers, operators and aircrew in order to successfully complete the low-level aerial spray flying missions. During the visit, Senator Brown specifically lauded the professional accomplishments of the 910th Aerial Spray Team during operations Joint Task Force Katrina and Rita in October 2005 whereas the team sprayed more than 2.8 million acres preventing the spread of insect borne diseases in the aftermath of those natural disasters.
