Snow Blowing... Air Force Reserve Style
YOUNGSTOWN AIR RESERVE STATION, Ohio - Air Force Reserve Tech. Sgt. Kevin L. Bowser, an aerospace maintenance specialist, blows heavy snow from the wing of a C-130 on the flight line here on March 7. Tech. Sgt. Bowser is perched in the lift bucket of a vehicle known as a "Huffer" that utilizes a small jet engine to feed super-heated air through hoses on the vehicle to a nozzle mounted on the lift bucket. The cold weather gear-clad ground crew members were removing the snow while preparing the aircraft for flight in below-freezing conditions. U.S. Air force photo/ Tech. Sgt. Bob Barko Jr. The aerospace maintenance field is just one of a vast number of opportunities available in the Air Force Reserve.
