Security Specialist Named Airman Of The Year For 2006
YOUNGSTOWN AIR RESERVE STATION, Ohio—Air Force Reservist Senior Airman Courtenay N. Perkins has been named 910th Airlift Wing Airman of the Year for 2006. Airman Perkins is a security specialist assigned to the 910th Security Forces Squadron since December 2003. He serves the wing as a restricted area security response team member, law enforcement patrolman, installation access controller and weapons room armorer. Besides serving in the Air Force Reserve, Airman Perkins coaches junior and senior high students in football and track as well as children in pee wee basketball. He also leads teens as church youth director and cadets in the Civil Air Patrol. "I am extremely proud of my enlistment and having become a member of the 910th. Being part of this wing was the best decision I've ever made," Airman Perkins said. U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Everette W. Radcliffe II. The security specialist career field is just one of a vast number of opportunities available in the Air Force Reserve.
