Ultra Low Volume
YOUNGSTOWN AIR RESERVE STATION, Ohio-- Air Force Reserve Senior Master Sgt. Bill Rooks was instrumental in the design and maintenance of aerial spray application systems such as the Ultra Low Volume aerial spray nozzles used today during aerial spray missions. Used with the Modular Aerial Spray Systems (MASS) aboard four specially-modified C-130 aircraft at the 910th Airlift Wing, these systems are capable of dispering a half-ounce of product over an acre to control biting insects such as mosquitos, and biting sand fleas.
