Air Force Reserve, Notre Dame University and Rotory groups aid the Dominican Republic
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic -- Air Force Reservist Master Sgt. Christina Feliciano, a loadmaster with the 773rd Airlift Squadron, spots a local Domincan as he removes a pallet of donated clothing. Notre Dame Universitystudents and alumni along with many regional Rotarians have made it possible for struggling people of the Dominican Republic to receive much needed clothing after the devastation of Hurricane Olga in 2007. The Air Force Reserve's 910th Airlift Wing in Youngstown, Oh. and 911th Airlift Wing in Pittsburgh, PA. partnered to airlift approximately 60,000 pounds of donated new and used clothing aboard two C-130 Hercules aircraft. This Air Force Reserve mission was made possible because of the Denton humanitarian program. For more information about the Denton Program, visit: www.usaid.gov U.S. Air Force photo by Capt. Brent J.
