Youngstown C-130 arrives at Westover to pick up Aeromedical Evac Airmen
A Youngstown C-130 landed at Westover Air Reserve Base, Mass., July 14, to pick up 12 Airmen assigned to the 439th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron (AE). AE units provide tactical aeromedical evacuation for injured U.S. troops and regional Unified Commands. AE flight nurses and medical technicians have the capability to fly patients on over 5 different aircraft which include the C-17, KC-135, C-21, C-130, and the KC-10.
