WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Air Force Reserve Col. James Dignan (right), commander of the 910th Airlift Wing, and Chief Master Sgt. Steven Larwood (center), command chief of the 910th Airlift Wing, based at Youngstown Air Reserve Station (YARS), Ohio talk with Congressman Bill Johnson, Ohio 13th district during an impromptu meeting here, June 26, 2014. Dignan and Larwood would later visit the congressman’s office staff to discuss the 910th’s mission as well as several issues concerning the unit and installation as part of the commander’s Air Force Reserve Capitol Hill Visit program, June 25 and 26, 2014. As the 910th’s senior enlisted member, Larwood accompanied the commander to lend his perspective on how issues concerning the unit and installation affect the wing’s personnel especially the enlisted force. The primary purpose of the program is to assist commanders in improving and building on relationships established with Congressional delegations and to increase their unit’s visibility with members of Congress.
