AFR commander visits YARS
YOUNGSTOWN AIR RESERVE STATION, Ohio – Air Force Reserve Lt. Col. Drew Tancer, Director of Operations for the 910th Airlift Wing’s 757th Airlift Squadron, explains a flight chart to Air Force Reserve Commander Lt. Gen. James J. Jackson prior to the general’s aerial spray orientation flight here, June 7, 2014. Senior Master Sgt. Phil Aliberti, Chief of 910th Aerial Spray Maintenance, looks on as the two review the mission’s flight path. General Jackson participated in the orientation flight as part of his visit to the installation to take a firsthand look at the 910th’s airlift capability, aerial spray mission and the air station’s facilities as well as future requirements. The 910th Airlift Wing is home to the Department of Defense’s only large-area, fixed-wing aerial spray capability. U.S. Air Force photo by Master Sgt. Bob Barko Jr.
