Warren mayor visits 910th, YARS
YOUNGSTOWN AIR RESERVE STATION, Ohio – The mayor’s visit to YARS concluded with a guided tour of the 910th Airlift Wing’s one-of-a-kind mission. Air Force Reserve Master Sgt. Stephen Feliz, 910th Aerial Spray Maintenance Specialist, shows nozzles used during the wing’s aerial spray missions to Mayor Doug Franklin (left), of the nearby City of Warren, at the Aerial Spray Facility here during an installation visit, March 7, 2014. The equipment Feliz is holding is part of the Modular Aerial Spray System (MASS). The MASS is used to carry out the unit’s unique capability. The 910th Airlift Wing is home to the Department of Defense’s only aerial spray squadron. The mayor visited YARS to learn more about the wing’s mission and the installation’s features firsthand as well as meet some of the Citizen Airmen assigned here.
