Warren mayor visits 910th, YARS
YOUNGSTOWN AIR RESERVE STATION, Ohio – The mayor’s tour of the 910th Airlift Wing’s 76th Aerial Port Squadron continued with a visit to the unit’s ramp operations. Air Force Reserve Senior Master Sgt. Kevin Massie (right), 76th APS superintendent, talks with Mayor Doug Franklin (left), of the nearby City of Warren, on the flightline here, March 7, 2014, about the unit’s efforts to prepare the ambulance sitting in the background for loading aboard an inbound cargo aircraft. The ambulance was being flown from YARS as part of the Denton program, a U.S. government program allowing charitable organizations to use existing military airlift missions to transport humanitarian cargo to locations around the world. The mayor visited YARS to learn more about the wing’s capabilities and the installation’s features firsthand as well as meet some of the Citizen Airmen assigned here.
