Event aims to strengthen YARS family
YOUNGSTOWN AIR RESERVE STATION, Ohio – Air Force Reserve Col. James Dignan, 910th Airlift Wing commander, stands with Youngstown State University mascots Pete and Penny Penguin and Mahoning Valley Scrappers mascot Scrappy during unit Family Day activities held here, Aug. 4, 2013. Family day is an open house held for Citizen Airmen and their families, designed to let Reserve families strengthen bonds and experience the home station of their Reservist loved one. The mascots were on hand to promote upcoming 910th community events with YSU’s 1-AA football team and the Scrapper’s Class A Cleveland Indians minor league baseball team.
