New commander takes reins of 910th OSS
YOUNGSTOWN AIR RESERVE STATION, Ohio – Air Force Reserve Col. Bill Phillips, 910th Operations Group commander, hands the 910th Operations Support Squadron (OSS) guidon, or unit flag, to Lt. Col. Roark D. Endlich during an Assumption of Command ceremony held here, Dec. 6, 2014. Master Sgt. Michelle Mariacher, 910th OSS first sergeant, looks on as the guidon is transferred during the ceremony. The 910th OSS deploys mission ready combat tactics, intelligence, aircrew flight equipment and current operations personnel in support of worldwide Department of Defense wartime, peacetime and humanitarian airlift as well as aerial spray requirements. The squadron maximizes airlift efficiency and aircrew survivability in achieving the 910th Airlift Wing’s mission to Deploy, Deliver, Defend and the wing’s vision of bring an Operational Force for Rapid Global Mobility with integrated and sustainable capabilities supporting our National Security.
