Cleveland area community sends stacks of stockings to Youngstown ARS
YOUNGSTOWN AIR RESERVE STATION, Ohio – Air Force Reserve Col. Kevin Riley, commander of the 910th Airlift Wing’s 910th Mission Support Group based here, accepts a package of yuletide cheer from Mr. Bruce Billie, Trumbull and Mahoning Counties Coordinator for the USO of Northern Ohio at the YARS Fitness Center here, Nov. 26, 2014. The carefully-prepared box represents more than 950 stockings brimming with goodies, holiday greeting cards, food stuffs and more, courtesy of the USO of Northern Ohio and the citizenry of the Cleveland suburb of Willoughby Hills, Ohio, that arrived at YARS to be passed out later to the Air Force, Marine and Navy Reservists assigned here at upcoming holiday festivities. The mission of the USO of Northern Ohio is to lift the spirits of our local troops and their families by enhancing the quality of life with recreational programs and services that boost the morale of the U.S. Armed Forces personnel serving in and from the 29 northernmost counties of the great State of Ohio. The USO of Northern Ohio will also try to cultivate cooperative relationships between U.S. military communities and involved or supporting civilian communities.
