910th hosts 60th Pilot for a Day
Tim Wertz, a firefighter with the 910th Civil Engineer Fire Department, shows a jaws of life unit to 11-year-old Jacob Sypert here, Oct. 29, 2014. Sypert became the 910th Airlift Wing’s 60th Pilot for a Day, being sworn in as an honorary second lieutenant and spending the day here experiencing military activities including a high-speed taxi down the runway in a Youngstown C-130H Hercules aircraft. The Pilot for a Day program began in 2000 as a community outreach event for the purpose of providing a fun-filled day for children with life-threatening or chronic illnesses.
