Radio calls for spray mission
Air Force Reserve Lt. Col. Karl Haagsma, 910th Aerial Spray Flight Entomologist based at Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio, talks on a radio while standing on an access road to a target site on the Utah Test and Training Range nearby here, March 18, 2015. Haagsma is communicating with a 910th aircrew preparing to spray an herbicide over selected areas of the range to eliminate an unwanted ground covering weed obscuring target sites and hindering Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) operations. The 910th Airlift Wing is home to the Department of Defense’s only large area, fixed wing aerial spray capability.
