Civic Leaders visit Hurricane Hunters

Mr. Carl Verholek, a retired civic leader from Sharpsville, Pennsylvania and Air Force Reserve Chief Master Sgt. Steve Larwood (center), 910th Airlift Wing command chief, talk with an instructor (right) on the observation level of the weather schoolhouse here, April 15, 2015. A visit to the school house and a briefing about the Air Force meteorology training course was part of the itinerary of the 910th Airlift Wing’s Civic Leader Tour 2015 originating from Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio. A group of 31 civic leaders and their military escorts attended the two-day, one-night event, designed to give them a better understanding of the Air Force Reserve mission and how it differs from base to base around the country.
