Newest Wing member sworn in as Pilot for a Day

Lilia and Daniel Hoffman, parents of Ethan Hoffman, pin on Ethan’s second lieutenant rank at a commissioning ceremony here Wednesday, June 24. Twelve-year-old Ethan was sworn in as an honorary second lieutenant as he became the 910th Airlift Wing’s 62nd Pilot for a Day, receiving a day of military experiences and mementos. Ethan was selected for the program by Akron Children’s Hospital in Boardman where he is treated for Bartter Syndrome, a rare kidney disease he has had since birth. (U.S. Air Force photo/Eric M.
