Commander and USO thank young donor
Col. James Dignan (right), 910th Airlift Wing commander, and Bruce Bille (right), Second Vice President of the USO of Northern Ohio, present a certificate of appreciation to Olivia Vaupel (center) at the Community Activity Center here, July 21, 2016. In 2014, Vaupel asked her family to donate items to Servicemembers serving locally and overseas instead of giving her a birthday present and gifts. Bille arranged for Vaupel, her mother and a small group of Olivia’s family and friends to visit YARS for a lunch with Dignan, the certificate presentation and a tour of the installation and a C-130H Hercules cargo aircraft in appreciation for the youth’s efforts.
